We are proud to announce that one of our outstanding educators, Mrs. Jinger Looper, was named a finalist for the Professional Oklahoma Educators Foundation Excellence in Education Award. This prestigious recognition honors exceptional teachers across the state who demonstrate innovation, dedication, and a deep commitment to student success.

POE

Mrs. Looper attributes her love for teaching by saying, "During my years as a teacher in my own classroom, I have taught everything from 3rd grade to current events to US History to Psychology to ACT prep, and now even Junior and Senior English. Being in a small school, we are asked to carry an enormous workload. I currently teach 3 different history classes, 2 English classes and coach Basketball and softball. Why would I continue this crazy workload?? Because I just absolutely LOVE what I do. I truly enjoy spending my days with the kids, and I have what is probably an unhealthy love of a challenge."

POE

Mrs. Looper enjoys studying and relishes "in the little known facts and the silly trivia. It's what makes history come alive." She enjoys spending her her day with teenagers emphasizing "they are an enormous source of energy and even joy." She, in kind, delivers that same energy and passion back to her students in the classroom, on the court, on the field and in the hallways.

Congratulations, Mrs. Looper, for this well-deserved honor, although we've known this about you for a very long time!
