Beaver History Teacher, Jinger Looper, attended the 2026 World War II Educator’s Seminar this summer.  The seminar was hosted by the world class National World War II Museum in New Orleans. Mrs. Looper was one of 200 nationwide educators selected to participate in the immersive 5 day WWII History symposium as part of the museums’ effort to connect teachers across the nation with their WWII classroom resources.  The seminar included workshops and discussion panels taught by decorated WWII scholars and master educators.  Discussion panels included Q & A with WWII experts and authors.  Workshops consisted of participating in sample lessons using the vast WWII primary sources and analyzing scholarly essays.  Participating educators were given special access to interact with WWII artifacts, listen to oral histories, and take guided tours with WWII experts.  

“My favorite part was actually spending time in the incredible museum itself. The museum campus is 6 acres of WWII history exhibits.  From hanging out with the P51 Mustangs to seeing the pieces of the Atlantic Wall to walking through galleries of exclusive WWII collections, this facility is unmatched.   Being able to spend DAYS in a WWII museum with other history nerds was outstanding. AND I am super excited to add all this amazing material to my history classes.   I am just so incredibly blessed to have been a part of this program.”

Mrs. Looper teaches US History, World History, and Native American History at Beaver High School.
