We are excited to announce the upcoming college fair hosted on the Beaver High School campus!

Meet admission representatives from up to 20 colleges and universities from across the country at GPACAC’s Beaver County Area College Fair on Monday, September 28th for FREE! All high school students and families are encouraged to attend.

Electronic student scanning will be available. Students should register for a barcode at www.strivefair.com. A barcode will be sent immediately via text and email. Admission reps will scan the student’s barcode directly from their phones.

📚📖📔📘BOOK FAIR starting next week: September 24th - October 1st!! Daily hours are 7:45 am - 3:30 pm with special times for families to shop! You can also set up an eWallet to allow your students to shop independently without having to send cash to school. It's a GREAT day for a Duster Book Fair! 🖤💛🌪️

Last week, Mr. Bell brought a very special guest during his weekly visit and we are still swooning!! Meet Legacy....Tyrone's sweet therapy dog! Our students are still asking "Where's Legacy?" While visiting our school, many students asked Mr. Bell what tricks Legacy could do, and Mr. Bell responded that the only "trick" Legacy has been taught to do is give lots of love. Mr. Bell also shared that he has seen Tyrone's student attendance and behavior greatly improve since having brought Legacy to Tyrone, and the same can be said for his staff attendance and morale. There are many benefits to having a therapy dog.
Physical benefits: reduced blood pressure, provides physical stimulation, assists with pain management.
Social benefits: creates greater self-esteem and focused interaction with others
Cognitive benefits: stimulates memory and improves problem-solving skills
Emotional and Mental Health benefits: helps lift moods, provokes laughter, encourages friendships and provides comfort and support.

Meet the faces behind the Yearbook pages and photos. The Beaver Duster Yearbook staff attended an excellent workshop today in Guymon with Mrs. Hayes. They are excited to put their new knowledge and creativity into the production of a memorable yearbook this year! 🖤💛🌪️📔

Rejoice, Good Dusters! ’Tis a Grand Day Indeed! Mrs. Ramon has secured a Traveling Trunk from the Oklahoma History Center. The trunks are free to check out like a library book and come with artifacts, books and information on different subjects. This week her students studied the Colonial Life Trunk which contains information about how different people lived during colonial times. Dusters are not only learning but getting to "experience" life from another time. As they would say in colonial times, "Huzzah! ’Tis a Fine Day to Be a Duster!” 🖤💛🌪️

And to cap off this fantastic Duster Week, we present to you the activities from 4th Grade including a special focus on the events on 9/11. 🖤💛❤️🤍💙

For science Mrs. Bridwell did a lesson on position and motion where the students used one ping pong ball and one golf ball to experiment with.

For 9/11 we learned about the events of that day and how students in Japan sent paper origami cranes to Ground Zero that were hung on the fences as a symbol of healing. I had the students make their own paper cranes. It was challenging but one student was able to complete her crane: Rylee Sharp. They learned how even other countries come together in hard times and support one another.
